Fraxinus pennsyvanica, Red Ash is a large, dense, conical, upright branching tree growing 20m x 15m.

Its leaves are lance shaped and glossy dark green and in autumn will turn an excellent clear yellow.

The bark is grey/darkish brown becoming ridged and furrowed with age.

Can tolerate strong winds and will grow in most soils.
